What made you choose to volunteer for HRC?
Broomfield have been good to my wife and my daughter over the last couple of years, and it was my way of saying thank you to the dedicated doctors and nurses, and hopefully lift the spirits of the patients.
What do you enjoy most about HRC
I enjoy the banter and enthusiasm of the other volunteers that I come into contact with, and ofcourse I am passionate about music, and love the chance to share it with all the people in the wards. When I was on the Sunday request show, I paticularly enjoyed chatting to the patients and collecting their requests, and the reasons behind their choices.
Favourite music genre?
Country is my number one choice naturally, but I love most genres, apart from rap & Coldplay
First album ever bought (LP or CD)?
Can't remember, but probably The Beatles
Favourite artist/band/singer?
Too many to mention, but I do have a thing about female vocalists especially Martina McBride
What is your most influential music memory?
Early Rock n Roll i.e. Elvis, Buddy Holly etc

I couldn't possibly pick just one
Biggest artist to inspire you musically and why?
These are really hard questions, especially when you've been around as long as I have.
Best live concert or performance you’ve seen?
Brad Paisley, and Jools Holland R & B Orchestra
Away from music, what do you enjoy most?
Playing Squash, training my dog & competing in working trials, socialising with my friends, and family.
What is your current occupation or study status?
I run a boarding kennels & cattery

Elvis, Dolly Parton, Billy Connolly, Jo Brand, Michael Winner
If you could go back in time, what era would you travel to and why?
I feel very lucky to have been born when I was, particularly musically
What would be your ideal Holiday Destination?
Nashville, Texas & Hawaii
What would be your perfect Sunday?
A lie in would be nice. I can't remember the last time I had one of those. Weather permitting, out with my dog for a bit of training. A cruise on my bike to see my daughters and grand kids. A nice sunday roast, then sorting out my playlist for Wednesday's show
