Do you present your own show? No
If yes, what is the name and content of your show? n/a
When did you join Hospital Radio? I joined Hospital Radio in June 2008
What made you choose to volunteer for HRC? I have always loved music and radio and it felt really good to be able to give something back.
What do you enjoy most about HRC? I love being able to give back to the patients and the hospital generally. But I think my favourite bit has to be when someone wins one of our competition prizes!
Favourite music genre?I always describe myself as someone who was born in the wrong generation, because as well as liking my chart music I think my favourite genre has to be 60s and 70s!
First album ever bought (LP or CD)? Spice Girls – Spiceworld!
Favourite artist/band/singer? It changes daily! But right now I think the Rolling Stones top my list!
What is your most influential music memory? When I was little my Dad showed me the Queen set from Live Aid and I remember being blown away by how powerful Freddie Mercury’s voice was!
Favourite single, 7”,12” or MP3 (for the younger generation)? This is hard! But I would have to say that if there was one song I had to listen to for the rest of my life it would be Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something.
Biggest artist to inspire you musically and why?It has to be David Bowie – the clothes, the art, the different personas! Not to forget the mental lyrics!
Best live concert or performance you’ve seen?Again hard as I’ve been lucky enough to see hundreds of live bands in my life so far but I think seeing the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park this summer was definitely something special.
Away from music, what do you enjoy most? I really like amateur photography, going out with my friends and family, and the odd cocktail or two!
What is your current occupation or study status? I’ve just graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
If you were hosting a dinner party, which 5 famous people would you invite (dead or alive)?
Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Andy Murray and JK Rowling!
If you could go back in time, what era would you travel to and why?
The 60s or the 70s for sure – I’d love to see David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust phase!
What would be your ideal Holiday Destination?
I’m really desperate to go to rural Japan and China!
What would be your perfect Sunday?
Films, sofa, blanket, chocolate and a glass of wine! Swiftly followed by a roast with all the trimmings!
