Fundraising Officer (Non Executive Officer)


This role reports to the Executive Committee and is essential for the raising of funds to be used for

the charity’s aims. The Fundraising Officer will actively create and manage activities for the

purpose of fundraising, involving members with the necessary skills to ensure these activities are

successful. The charity sees fundraising as central and critical to the delivery of our aims, and the

Fundraising Officer has a leading role in ensuring all members understand this and participate

whenever possible.


  • Arrange and supervise all fundraising activities.
  • Ensure that all fundraising activities are in line with organisational procedures and standards (including any set by HBA) so that they are compliant with laws, regulations and MEHT requirements, and do not result in reputational loss or any form of action being taken against the charity.
  • Ensure that all members are aware of future fundraising events and encourage maximum participation.
  • Liaise with outside agencies and businesses in a professional and creative manner.
  • Co-ordinate external events and broadcasts, and deal with any issues where necessary.
  • Ensure that members are given ample opportunity to take part in fundraising events to complete their training form.
