Committee Job Description – General Charity Officer (Executive Officer)


General Charity Officers will be appointed to lead specific projects which align with the aims of the charity. The post may therefore last for less than one year.

  • The service may appoint General Charity Officers if the posts of Station Manager,
  • Membership Development Officer and Communications Officer are all vacant
  • The service will then appoint General Charity Officers to ensure that there is a minimum of 4 members of the executive committee, and a maximum of 6.
  • General Charity Officers will be members of the executive committee and will be trustees of the charity.
  • The role undertaken by the General Charity Officer will be specific to the needs of the service at the time, for example, to manage a specific project.
